Victorian Farm House, Winchelsea

A beautiful old Victorian Farm House circa 1900 is resting in a relaxed rural setting just on the outskirts of the quaint township of Winchelsea. Winchelsea is situated on the picturesque Barwon River and has beautiful picnic grounds and facilities located alongside the Barwon river bank.

The town is steeped in history. Historic buildings within the town include the Barwon Hotel established in 1842 and town church built in 1846. The most famous historic building is Barwon Park, one of Australia's grandest mansions, built between 1869 and 1871 for Thomas and Elizabeth Austin.

Winchelsea is a short drive to Lorne and other beaches along the Great Ocean Road. The property is approx 45km from Lorne. Alternately it is located only 38 kms from Colac and is also the same distance from Geelong.

Rarely will you find a Victorian Country home restored to such perfection. The property at Winchelsea is a large four bedroom home. Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed, Bed 2 has a Queen Bed, Bedroom 3 has Bunks and a Single bed and Bedroom 4 has two single brass beds. The house sleeps 9.

A bright and airy dining room seats 8 – 10 people and is surrounded by leadlight windows. The kitchen is open plan and well equipped with Miele electric cook top and oven, and adjoins the spacious family room with TV and DVD. The kitchen/family room enjoys reverse cycle air-conditioning and heating.
