Highway Duplication Project

The design for the roadworks and bridgeworks associated with the Princes Highway duplication (Geelong to Winchelsea) has been commenced, by BMD Constructions.

Surf Coast Shire is constructing a local access service road (on the south side of the Princes Highway beween Mt Pollock Road and Murrengurk Road) at Buckley. Works being undertaken include preparation of the pavement base and the placement of culverts for drainage.

Land acquisition is also progressing, with VicRoads awarding 2 out of 4 fencing contracts and fencing under way. The relocation of high voltage power lines is due to start in March.

More information about the duplication of the Princes Highway is available from VicRoads or by calling 03 5274 6800, or by visiting the project office at 444 Princes Highway, Corio.
