The Surf Coast Shire transfer stations (waste disposal centres) are now accepting analogue televisions for recycling, free of charge. Collected at Anglesea, Lorne, Winchelsea and Deans Marsh transfer stations, they are dismantled in partnership with Geelong Disabled People's Industries (GDP).
Old analogue televisions are dismantled in North Geelong where materials are recovered and sold. GDP is a non-profit organisation that offers long-term supported employment to people with disabilities.
